, a pair of antique, c. 1918, two-sided color, illustrated World War I / WWI / The Great War maps of Europe, by Otto Kurth or O. Kurth. One two sided map features text along the column. One is titled New Map of Europe, and it looks to feature pre and post war boundaries. On the other side, is a Map of the Western Front, and features the Meuse-Argonne Offensive. Both sides are extremely detailed and well drawn. This map measures approximately 24" x 15.5" The second map, without text, on one side features The Western Battle Field Showing The International Frontiers, The Important Railways, The Positions Of The Lines, At The Culmination Of Important Campaigns, And The Battle Front As It Existed In September, 1918. On the lower left corner, it is also marked Copyright 1918. On the opposite side, it reads The Battle Fronts Of The Great War - As The Lines Were Drawn In Belgium, France, The Balkans, Italy, Palestine, and Mesopotamia, September, 1918. The Russian Front Had Completely Disappeared. This map also measures approximately 24" x 15.5" is colorful, and highly detailed!
For conditions, review photos closely using the magnifying tool or zoom in. Pair of antique c. 1918, double-sided WWI maps illustrated by Otto Kurth. Maps in used condition, with age, use, and storage related wear, but both are in solid shape for their age and intended use! The map with text along the side is in good, used condition. On the side where it reads New Map of Europe, there is a small tear, just above the "F" in "OF." Looks to have been removed from a book perhaps, given the roughness along the edge with the text. Very minor surface issues, but clean, bright and vivid overall! Map with no text has some surface issues, smudges on lower corner by LEGEND September 25 1918. Tiny holes where the intersections of the creases meet, bumped corners/edges. This map has been used more than the other, and it shows, but overall, clean, bright, vivid, no major issues, and displays well!
