    Description

    This is a Certificate of Appreciation "given in behalf of the citizens of Wasco County, Oregon to Belvia M. Pattison" in thanks for his service in World War One.  I have done a little research to find that he was a veteran.  His name is sometimes spelled as Belvie and the last name sometimes has only one "t."  The certificate dated August 10, 1920 and signed by J. T. Adkisson County Judge, F. C. Clausen and J. W. Nix, Commissioners.  It has a seal at bottom center that is worn and there is some age darkening along the left edge and a little fading.  It is 12" by 9" and an interesting piece of World War One WWI memorabilia.
